The Effects of Solvents Polarity on the Phenolic Contents and Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power of <em>Cassytha filiformis, Commiphora schlechteri, Ochna natalitias</em> and <em>Pavetta assimilis</em>

In the present study, levels of Total Phenols compounds (TPC) and antioxidant capacity different extracts from leaves Cassytha filiformis (C. filiformis), Commiphora schlechteri schlechterii), Ochna natalitias (O. natalitia) Pavetta assimilis (P. assimilis) were evaluated by Folin-Ciocalteu ferric ion reduction methods, respectively. The prepared with solvents polarities (n-hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate aqueous methanol). total phenols found in all samples increase solvent polarity. power was linearly proportional to concentration is greater content phenolics. All species O. natalitia (DCM, EtAcO MetOH) showed higher than other species. Thus, promising results study suggest a high potential these as source for development therapeutically useful natural antioxidants.
